At Packages Group, sustainability is about action, not just conversation. Packages Climate Talks 2025 brought together business leaders, experts, and academia to discuss climate resilience, ESG leadership, and responsible business.
Our Group CEO and MD, Syed Hyder Ali, commenced the event with an inspiring keynote address on what it takes to build future-fit businesses. Syed Ahson Shah, Partner & Country Lead – ESG, Climate Change & Decarbonization at KPMG, broke down how companies can bridge the gap between sustainability pledges and financial performance.
A powerful panel discussion, moderated by Nazish Shekha, Head of Centre of Excellence in Responsible Business (PBC), brought together some of the best minds in the field – Zia Hyder Naqi (CEO, SPEL Group), Awais Bin Nasim (MD, Tetra Pak Pakistan), Syed Ali Murtaza (BU Head – Paper & Board, Packages Group), Fazeel-ur-Rehman (CEO, SPL), and Sajjad Iftikhar (CEO, HPL) – exploring how companies can turn sustainability commitments into real action.
Omer Salman, Senior Manager at PwC, highlighted the critical role of responsible supply chains and ethical sourcing, while Jawad Gilani, Group Head HR, Dr. Abdur Rahman Malik, and Dr. Tauqeer Abbas from Lahore University of Management Sciences, led a dynamic fireside chat on green skills and future of work. Closing the event, Hammad Naqi, Director General at WWF – Pakistan-Pakistan, delivered a powerful call for climate action, urging businesses to lead with resilience.
