Packages Group participated in the 4th Annual Convening of the CoRe Alliance, titled “Turning the Tide: Extended Producer Responsibility and Plastics Circularity.”
A key highlight was the panel “Rethinking Packaging and Partnering for Impact Innovation, Design & Collaboration for Circularity,” moderated by Zia Hyder Naqi, CEO, SPEL Group, where Packages Group was represented by Khalid Abdul Quddus, Head of Packaging, as a panelist.
In parallel, Ayesha Aziz, Group Manager Sustainability, led the panel “People Behind the Industry Value Chains: Livelihoods & Dignity,” featuring insights from Akhter Hameed Khan Foundation, Concept Loop, Nestlé Pakistan, and Gilgit-Baltistan Waste Management Company.
The Chief Guest, Dr. Musadik Malik, Federal Minister for Climate Change and Environmental Coordination, emphasized the need for a unified national EPR and ECR framework, blended finance, and stronger systems to formalize recyclable value chains.
