Packages Group recently conducted a dedicated Harassment Prevention Awareness Session for our blue collar workforce, bringing together 90 employees, including 25 females, from different departments.
Centered on the Protection Against Harassment of Women at the Workplace Act (PWHA), 2010, the session covered employees’ rights and responsibilities, respectful workplace conduct, formal reporting mechanisms, and the importance of sustaining a harassment-free environment for all.
The session was facilitated by Mr. Joshua Dilawar (Development Practitioner) and Ali Raza (Project Coordinator) of Idara-e-Taleem-o-Aagahi (ITA), as they brought institutional experience in gender equality, GBV prevention, and community-based advocacy.
This initiative is a part of our ongoing Respectful Workplaces trainings, and supports our alignment with the UN Global Compact’s Principles on labour and human rights, and contributes to SDG 5 (Gender Equality), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), and SDG 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions).
