Packages Group celebrates Earth Day

Packages Group celebrates Earth Day every year to endorse our commitment to protecting our planet. This year, aligning with the global theme “Planet vs. Plastics” we organized a variety of activities including an informative session for our sales and production teams. We had the honor of inviting an esteemed panel of speakers including Sheikh Waqar Ahmad (Head of Public Affairs and Sustainability, Nestlé) who is also the CEO of CoRe Alliance, which is Pakistan’s first packaging alliance of its kind. He was joined by Dr. Amna Farrukh (Assistant Professor FAST School of Management) and a Flexible Packaging expert and Mr. Ahmad Rafay Alam, a well-known environmental lawyer, and activist, who shared their valuable insights on the topic, “Regulating Plastics – Balancing Environmental Protection with Economic Realities”. Our Group Innovation and Development Manager, Ms. Tahira Yasmin also presented the extensive work done by Packages Group to tackle the plastic issue during the session, which was attended by over 70 participants from various Packages Group companies including Packages Limited, Packages Convertors, DIC Pakistan Limited Limited, Tri-Pack Films Limited, OmyaPack and Bulleh Shah Packaging
